Low-stock thresholds & reorder alerts

Set a low-stock threshold per product so IEMSuite flags it on the dashboard and Inventory Analytics before you run out.

Never get surprised by a stockout

A stockout means a missed order; overstock means cash tied up on the shelf. IEMSuite helps you stay in the middle by flagging products that drop to their Low Stock Threshold, so you can reorder or produce before you run out.

Step 1 - Set a low-stock threshold on the product

  1. Open the product under Inventory → Product Catalog (or create one - see Creating a product).
  2. Set the Low Stock Threshold field to the level at which you want to be warned.
  3. Save.

Step 2 - Watch the alerts

Once a product's on-hand quantity reaches its threshold, it's counted in the Low Stock KPI on the Dashboard and highlighted on Inventory Analytics. Orders that can't be fully covered by available stock are also flagged as Partial or No Stock in *Orders Requiring Attention*.

Step 3 - Act on it

  • Buy more from a supplier: receive it via Inventory → Inbound Log.
  • Make more: run a production batch from a recipe.

Tips

  • Set thresholds based on how long replenishment actually takes - a longer lead time needs a higher threshold.
  • Review the Low Stock list regularly; it's your working reorder queue.

FAQ

Where do low-stock items show up?

On the Dashboard (the Low Stock KPI) and on Inventory Analytics, and they influence the stock badges on orders.

Can I set thresholds in bulk?

Yes - include a minimum stock level column when you import or update products. See Bulk importing via CSV / Excel.
