In food and beverage, picking the wrong lot isn't an inconvenience, it's a recall. IEMSuite allocates by expiry automatically and keeps the full chain of every lot.
Any lot with an expiry date is allocated first-expired-first-out automatically. There is no strategy setting a new hire can get wrong on a Friday afternoon. Lots approaching expiry surface on the dashboard while you can still act.
Because every movement is logged per lot, tracing works both directions: from a supplier delivery forward to every order it touched, or from a customer complaint backward to the exact ingredient lot. A recall scope becomes a minutes-long lookup instead of a multi-day dig.
Incoming ingredients and finished batches can be gated behind inspection. A lot waiting as PENDING_QC or sitting in quarantine physically cannot be shipped or consumed - allocation refuses it. Failed inspections open NCRs with root cause and corrective action.
