A working day · example scenario

Another email asks for the same invoice.

Customers need their catalog, order information and documents. Repeatedly sending them by email takes time, while sharing a general workspace would expose far more information than a customer needs.

  1. Choose who gets access

Enable portal access for the customer and manage their access settings. The supplier controls which customers can enter the private portal.

  2. Give them their business context

Authorized customers can view their catalog and orders. Customer-specific invoices and documents are available without exposing the supplier’s internal operations workspace.

  3. Keep fulfillment in your workspace

Your team continues managing orders, allocation and fulfillment in IEMSuite. The portal gives the customer a view of their business with you.

What you leave with

A customer can find the records available to them, while your team retains control of the operational workflow.

Why we connect
these records.

We separate the customer’s view from the supplier’s workspace because they have different jobs. A customer needs their own information; the operations team needs the controls and context to fulfill the order.

it to your team.

Is the customer portal public?

No. Portal access is private and enabled by the supplier. Portal pages are excluded from search indexing. The public product page describes the feature without publishing customer records.

What can an authorized customer see?

Their available catalog, orders, and customer-specific invoices and documents. Access is controlled by the supplier; the portal is not a shared login to the internal operations workspace.
