Keeping customer records tidy
Customers hold the details you reuse on every order and shipment - who they are and where deliveries go. Setting them up well means faster order entry and fewer shipping mistakes.
Step 1 - Create a customer
- Open Clients.
- Create a new customer and enter their details (Customer Details), including type where relevant.
Step 2 - Add delivery addresses
Add one or more delivery addresses (including the Street Address). B2B customers often have several ship-to locations; you can mark a default so it's pre-selected on new orders and shipments.
Step 3 - Reuse everywhere
When you create an order or prepare a shipment, pick the customer and one of their saved addresses - no re-typing.
Tips
- Keep a clear default delivery address per customer to speed up shipping.
- Use consistent naming so customers are easy to find at order time.
