IEMSuite's Safety & EHS module (Environment, Health & Safety) gives your team a structured way to log workplace safety incidents, near-misses, and property damage events - keeping a permanent record for compliance and continuous improvement.
What Is the Safety Module?
Every safety event on the production floor should be recorded, regardless of severity. A near-miss today that goes unrecorded could become an injury tomorrow. The Safety module provides:
- A structured form to capture what happened, where, and who was involved
- Incident category classification (injury, near-miss, property damage, etc.)
- Description of immediate actions taken
- A permanent, searchable incident log per organization
Logging a Safety Incident
Go to Inventory → Production → Safety
Click "Report Incident."
Select the incident category
Choose from the available categories (see below).
Enter date, time, and location
Where on the production floor did this occur?
Describe what happened
Include what led up to the event, what occurred, and any injuries or damage.
Record immediate actions
First aid given, equipment shut down, area cordoned off, etc.
Save
Incident is logged with the reporting user's name and timestamp.
Incident Categories
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| INJURY | A person was hurt - cut, burn, strain, or other physical harm. |
| NEAR_MISS | An incident that almost happened but did not result in injury or damage. |
| PROPERTY_DAMAGE | Equipment, facility, or product was damaged. |
| ENVIRONMENTAL | A spill, emission, or other environmental impact event. |
| OTHER | Any safety-related event that does not fit the above categories. |
Safety Reports
In Inventory → Production → Safety, view the full incident log filtered by date range, category, or location. Use this data to:
- Identify recurring hazard areas
- Track near-miss frequency as a leading indicator before injuries occur
- Prepare EHS compliance reports for regulatory submissions
