Equipment & Projects
Plan and track equipment installations and improvement projects with budgets, expenses and a step-by-step work plan.
Equipment & projects (Manufacturing → Production → Fabrication in the sidebar) tracks installations and improvement work, such as a new filling machine or a line upgrade. Projects do not create or consume stock.
What Is a Project?
- A code, name and description
- A type: CapEx (capital investment) or OpEx (operating expense)
- A priority, start date and target end date
- A status: Not started, In progress, On hold, Completed or Cancelled
- A budget, recorded expenses and a completion percentage
Creating a Project
Go to Manufacturing → Production → Fabrication
Click "New project".
Enter the project details
Name, type, priority, budget, start date and target end date.
Save
The project appears in the list, which you can filter by status and type.
Work Plan and Progress
Add steps to the project work plan. Checking steps updates progress automatically, and the first completed step starts a project that had not started. All steps must be done before you complete the project, and completion is always confirmed explicitly. Projects without steps use manual progress.
Budget and Expenses
Record expenses against the project; spending updates automatically and uses your workspace currency. Project summaries count all matching projects, not only the current page.
