Production Lines
Set up the lines your batches run on, with capacity and cost details used in production reporting.
Production lines represent the equipment or areas that run your batches, such as a mixing tank, a filling line or an oven.
What Are Production Lines?
Lines are optional. Assigning batches, downtime and safety incidents to a line lets you filter production results by line and see which line produced each batch.
Creating a Production Line
Open Workspace settings → Company → Production Lines
Add a new line.
Enter a name and description
Use the name operators use on the floor.
Set capacity and planned hours
Enter Hourly Target (units/hr), Daily Capacity (units) and Planned Operating Hours / Day. Negative values are rejected. OEE needs a positive hourly rate to calculate performance; daily capacity is not a substitute.
Save
The line can now be selected on production batches, downtime records and safety incidents. Use Production → Shift Calendar for date-specific working minutes and holidays.
Using Lines
Choose the line when you create a production batch or log downtime. Recipes are not tied to a line; the same recipe can run on any line.
Line Reporting
On Manufacturing → Production, filter the reporting period by line to see completed output, downtime and safety incidents for that line. Under Finance → Cost analysis, production costs can be grouped by line.
