Order Types Overview
IEMSuite handles B2B orders you create and B2C orders, including those imported from Shopify.
The order type follows the customer: a B2B customer gets the quote-to-delivery flow, a B2C customer gets an order that is allocated straight away.
B2B Orders
For wholesale and trade customers. A B2B order starts as a Quote, moves on when you record the customer's purchase order, and supports partial shipments with lot traceability. Wholesale customers can also place orders themselves through the Customer Portal.
B2C and Shopify Orders
A B2C order needs a shipping address and starts as Order placed; IEMSuite allocates stock immediately. When your Shopify store is connected, new Shopify orders arrive automatically, and shipping them in IEMSuite creates the fulfillment in Shopify.
Choosing the Right Type

Order Numbering
IEMSuite numbers orders automatically and never hands out the same number twice. Imported Shopify orders also keep their Shopify order number for reference.
