Quick Start Guide

Get from a blank IEMSuite account to your first fulfilled order in 15–20 minutes.

Before You Begin

This guide walks you through IEMSuite from a blank account to your first fulfilled order. The entire process takes about 15–20 minutes.

You do not need a Shopify store to use IEMSuite. You can manage inventory and orders entirely through the web dashboard. Shopify integration is optional.

Step 1 – Register & Create Your Organization

1

Go to app.iemsuite.com

Click "Sign Up" and fill in your name, email, and password.

2

Create your organization

Enter your company name. This becomes your workspace. All users you invite will share this organization.

3

During Early Access, select any plan

All plans are free during Early Access. Choose based on the features you want to explore.

Stock allocation order (FIFO vs. FEFO) is not something you configure per organization - it follows the product automatically. See FIFO / FEFO Allocation for details.

Step 2 – Set Up Your Warehouse Location

Every stock lot must live in a location. You need at least one warehouse before you can receive stock.

1

Go to Inventory → Locations

Click "Add Location" in the top right.

2

Create a Warehouse

Set Type = WAREHOUSE, give it a name (e.g. "Main Warehouse"), and save.

3

Add sub-locations (optional)

Inside your warehouse, add Aisles, Racks, or Bins for more granular tracking. Example: Warehouse A → Aisle 1 → Rack 3 → Bin 7.

Step 3 – Add Your Products

1

Go to Inventory → Products

Click "New Product".

2

Fill in the product details

Enter SKU, name, unit of measure (kg, pcs, L, etc.), and select the product type.

3

Set shelf life (optional)

If your product expires, enter the shelf life in days. IEMSuite will automatically calculate expiry dates when you receive stock.

4

Set a low-stock alert threshold (optional)

Enter the minimum quantity you want to keep on hand. You'll be alerted when stock falls below this level.

5

Save the product

The product is now ready to receive stock against.

Step 4 – Receive Your First Stock (Inbound Log)

1

Go to Inventory → Inbound Log and click "Log Inbound Items"

This opens the inbound receiving form.

2

Select a product and enter the lot number

Use your supplier's lot/batch number, or type any identifier.

3

Enter quantity and cost

Enter the quantity received and the cost per unit.

4

Select the destination location

Choose which warehouse the stock should go to.

5

Save

IEMSuite creates a stock lot with status AVAILABLE and logs an INBOUND transaction.

Your stock is now live! You can see it on the product's detail page or in the Inventory Analytics overview.

Step 5 – Create Your First Order

1

Go to Orders → New Order

Click the "New Order" button.

2

Select a client

Choose an existing client or create a new one.

3

Add line items

Select the products you want to include, enter quantities and unit prices.

4

Submit

IEMSuite automatically allocates (reserves) available stock using your FIFO/FEFO strategy.

Step 6 – Ship the Order

1

Open the order

Go to Orders and click on your order.

2

Create a shipment

Click "Create Shipment". Select the items to include.

3

Confirm Shipment

Mark the shipment as "Ready for Pickup", then "Confirm Shipment". This deducts stock from the reserved lots and marks the order as SHIPPED.

4

Shopify sync (if connected)

IEMSuite automatically updates the Shopify order's fulfillment status.
