Reference exchange rates

Set automatic rates, enter manual overrides and understand the rate used for a historical foreign-currency order.

Exchange rates support estimates and reporting in the workspace base currency. They are reference values, not an executable bank quote, a payment conversion guarantee or a tax filing service.

Enable automatic rates

Open Company settings, then Currencies. Turn on Automatic Rates to enable the daily refresh. The automatic job covers USD, EUR, GBP and TRY. It uses TCMB EVDS when its server API key is configured, with Frankfurter as fallback. Other currencies need an appropriate manual rate.

Turning the switch off stops automatic writes for the workspace. It does not delete existing rates. The Source column identifies Manual, TCMB or Frankfurter records.

Enter a manual rate

Choose the currency, enter a positive rate and its effective date. The value means units of the workspace base currency per one unit of the foreign currency. For example, with USD as base, a EUR rate of 1.08 means 1 EUR equals 1.08 USD for the reference calculation.

A manual entry for the UTC day takes priority over that day's automatic refresh. Existing historical entries remain available; changed system rates add a new effective-time record instead of rewriting earlier values.

Read a historical order

A foreign-currency order uses the latest available rate effective at or before the order time. A rate that arrived later is excluded. A 500 EUR order using an earlier 1.08 EUR-to-USD rate therefore displays approximately 540 USD, even if a later system rate differs.

Missing or unavailable rates

No Rate means no suitable rate exists for that currency and time. Enter the appropriate historical reference rate rather than assuming a one-to-one conversion. If a provider is unavailable, existing values remain intact and the refresh reports failure for retry and investigation.
